Systematic Review and Inventory of Evidence-based Programs and Practices for Justice Involved Adults with Serious Mental Illness, Across the Sequential Intercept Model

Published:

The purpose of this systematic review was to inventory programs, policies, and practices that serve justice-involved adults with SMI or adults with a co-occurring mental disorder and substance use disorder (COD), and evaluate the quality and strength of the evidence to identify “what works,” “what’s promising,” and “what’s not clear”. In order to capture the most recent evidence, and identify new or emerging programs, this review focused on studies conducted in the last 10 years, from 2009 to 2019.
